Alex Spiroglou
Is a London based, quasi-systematic, Cross Asset institutional proprietary trader.

Mr. Spiroglou’s previous employers include a Global Macro Hedge Fund and has held derivative trading positions within various Brokerage firms. He holds a Bsc in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School in London, and eight professional licenses including the Diploma of Technical Analysis administered by the Australian Technical Analysts Association, the Investment Management Certificate administered by the UK Society of Investment Professionals, etc.

Cross Asset Strategies: Since 1998 Mr. Spiroglou has researching and developing cross asset (intermarket) trading strategies. He has created an extensive database of cross asset relationships and proprietary Cross Market Indicators (CMI's), that aim at locating directional clues or identifying the relative attractiveness of a "Target market" through the study of linkages and activity between allied symptomatic markets. The identification of such bilateral information transmission channels can involve relationships that operate on a contemporaneous or sequential basis (leading / lagging markets). Cross asset models are then used as inputs to a Decision Support System of quasi-mechanical trading model (TradeGuard).

Military Training: He was chosen to serve as an Officer of the Hellenic Army, attended 2 Military Academies for Officers, and ultimately was promoted to the level of second lieutenant (the highest rank a non career officer can achieve).

Writing Credentials: is Columnist for “TRADER Monthly” magazine and samples of his work have also appeared in “Technical Analyst” and “Traders' ” magazine.

Contact Information: He may be reached at alex@CAStrategy.com.
